Data and privacy
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Fable collects, how that data is used, and the controls available for your account.
Last updated May 11, 2026Data We Collect
Fable collects the information needed to run your account and catalog experience, including your email address, display name, sign-in provider details, session data, and security metadata.
We also store the catalog activity you create, such as library saves, collections, ratings, reviews, private notes, alert follows, submissions, reports, and admin decisions when applicable.
How We Use Data
We use account and activity data to authenticate you, sync your library, personalize discovery, process submissions, moderate reports, send release alerts, prevent abuse, and keep the service reliable.
Operational logs and diagnostics may be used to debug issues, measure performance, and protect Fable from misuse.
Exports and Retention
Signed-in users can request a database export from Settings when the export feature is available for their account.
We keep account and catalog data for as long as needed to provide Fable, preserve catalog history, resolve disputes, maintain security, and satisfy operational or legal requirements.
Security
Fable uses access controls and platform security features to protect account data, but no online service can guarantee perfect security.
Use a strong password, protect your email account, and contact us if you notice unexpected activity.
Contact
Privacy questions, access requests, and deletion requests can be sent to [email protected].
We may update this policy as Fable changes. The date above shows the latest version presented in the app.
